Electric From Temp to Perm

So you want the secrets of 30a building?  Prices are stupid crazy for the trades.  You will never be able to understand pricing for the trades down here if you try to relate it to pricing there.

Again I explain the dynamic.  Its simple.  A disconnected buy works with a builder and architect providing a budget.  The budget is a BID by the builder to cover the builder's anticipated costs to build plus a fairly healthy profit.  When times are good some choose to mark up pricing significantly.  Some do not.   Some know that there is a slow and steady long run.

The builder then places the bid and it gets accepted.  If the builder put in $6.50 a square foot for electric plus a 15-25% mark up, he or she will be fine paying up to $6.50 a square foot.

Electric, however, is not priced per square foot in reality.  Complexity in number of circuits and wirings and sub
panels etc could drive costs up or down.   The builder is not necessarily concerned with saving you money by trying to find a lower cost provider.  He or she is concerned with  maximizing their profit based on finding lower costs where they can.

If you were your own contractor or had someone that was able to help you do that at a much lower cost, you could work to save money for you still getting the exact same quality.

You have to work and search hard for honest hard working people down here.  They do exist.  There are a few and there are those that are not them.

Andrews Plumbing and Electric are far and away among the most calm, relaxed and honestly priced plumbers and electricians I have encountered.   It is the way of working that I am familiar with.  An acknowledgement of the number of wirings and circuits etc, but also at a price per square foot that actually  makes sense.  Along with a no non sense of what is included in the bid made the choice for Andrews easy.

Lets just say that I carried a budget for my build based on normal pricing for such services and Andrews did not disappoint.  They were critical to keeping this project in line with reality.   Double bonus - The electrician I worked with down here in the past has now started working for Andrews and he will bring me Flounder!   And I know he does great work and works real easy in the field with typical modest adjustments.

I am happy and you could be too if you actually were engaged in controlling the costs of your project.

Let me help you understand how that can be done.
